What profit margin means
Profit margin shows how much of each dollar of revenue remains after costs. A 35% margin means $0.35 remains from every $1.00 in revenue before any costs not included in your input.
Use accurate costs
Include every cost relevant to the calculation. Leaving out fees, shipping, labor or advertising can make the result look stronger than it really is.
